Job Description

Meadows Regional is assisting our ED group based in Savannah in their search for at least one ED physician who will move to Vidalia. Our ED sees close to 30,000 patients per year. We have 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. shifts available as well as 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. There is also P.A. coverage with triple coverage during peak periods. Meadows has a mature Hospitalist program and the ED has the electronic T System for charting. Our ED sees a little bit of everything, most tertiary care goes to Savannah which is 90 miles away. Meadows has virtually every specialist on its staff including interventional cardiologists. The new radiology department will have two 160 slice CT’s and the only 8 channel, fresh blood imaging MRI within 180 miles (also has the largest opening of any non-open MRI made).

The package will include moving expenses, $10,000 CME per year, fully funded 401-K with a very strong contribution after one year of employment, health, LTD, malpractice, $120 per hour with incentive bonuses.

Meadows Regional is a Top 100 US Hospital three of the last five years, we are moving into the newest state-of-the art hospital in early February, and we have successfully recruited over 35 outstanding physicians to Vidalia in the last several years. Vidalia offers excellent schools, low crime, no traffic, snow or smog.
